Medik8 Sleep Glycolic key ingredients:

Glycolic Acid 10% Free Acid Value – as the smallest of the AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), Glycolic Acid penetrates the upper layers of the skin and breaks down the bonds between skin cells, so they can be exfoliated away to reveal fresher, newer skin cells beneath. This encourages cell turnover, which eventually leads to healthier, more youthful-looking skin. 

Korean Clover Extract – extracted from a South Korean flowering plant from the legume family, this plant has a form of circadian rhythm with its leaves and flowers opening during the daytime and closing at nighttime. When used topically on skin, Korean Clover Extract helps to regulate key biological factors such as hydration and detoxification for visibly brighter and healthier-looking skin. 

Glycerin – is present in the natural moisturising factors of our skin, which provide essential protection and hydration. An effective humectant, this ingredient is able to draw water to itself from the lower layers of the skin and the atmosphere. This keeps the skin hydrated, supple and soft.

Should I use Sleep Glycolic or Press & Glow?

Press & Glow is an everyday exfoliant that fits into every skincare routine. Sleep Glycolic is a more intensive treatment for advanced signs of ageing or skin concerns. We do not recommend using Press & Glow on the days you’re using Sleep Glycolic.

Can you use Sleep Glycolic with other direct acids?

Never layer direct acids, simply switch out your everyday direct acid on the days you use Sleep Glycolic. E.g. Press & Glow in your AM regime, Sleep Glycolic in your PM regime, then Press & Glow in the following AM regime.

Can I use Sleep Glycolic in the morning?

We do not recommend using Sleep Glycolic during the day. 

Can I use Sleep Glycolic during summer months?

Exfoliating acids, including Sleep Glycolic, are completely safe for use in summer months, as long as you’re applying and re-applying a high protection sunscreen every day.

Can Sleep Glycolic be used when phasing in new strength or type of Vitamin A?

We would not recommend the use of Sleep Glycolic for new users phasing-in Vitamin A. While the effects of Vitamin A are optimised with the use of Sleep Glycolic, we would always advise users to allow their skin to get used to the prior before attempting to accelerate their results

Once skin has gotten into the rhythm of using Vitamin A nightly (once phase-in has been completed, or a couple of weeks of using a new strength) Sleep Glycolic is ideal for enhancing the visible anti-ageing benefits.

How to use: 

After cleansing in the evening, smooth a pea-sized amount on face, neck and decolletage. Follow with the application of serums and/or moisturiser.

Always use SPF during the day as Glycolic Acid can make skin more sensitive to the sun. Use 2-3 times a week.
